My journey into mental health began after six rewarding years as a teacher. I earned my BA in Education from Northern Arizona University, and I’m now pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of Northern Colorado. The transition from teaching to counseling was driven by a deep desire to support people in a more personal and meaningful way, not just children but individuals of all ages who need someone to walk with them through life’s challenges.
As an intern at Entrust Counseling, I approach therapy with a heartfelt commitment to understanding and supporting each client at their own pace. I believe in the power of empathy and patience, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to grow when they’re ready, on their own terms.
Outside of my work, I love spending time with my family and friends. We’re often out exploring the outdoors or enjoying live music together. These simple joys keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of living a balanced life, which is something I try to bring into my therapy sessions as well.
