I believe that given the safety, support, and tools, we all have an innate capacity to heal and live full lives. Our brains and bodies are designed for this purpose, and my goal as a therapist is to empower clients through relational and body-based treatments to rebuild the relationship with themselves and others. I work with clients seeking support to heal from experiences of trauma, abuse, and loss, as well as those managing burnout, anxiety, and depression. I specialize in treating trauma-related disorders, including those developed following sexual and intimate partner violence, childhood abuse, and traumatic loss. I see therapy as a collaborative process and I partner with clients to identify treatment goals and modalities that will assist us in reaching your goals. I specialize in trauma-informed treatment and use therapies that help us to release trauma and stress held in our bodies in order to support healing (including EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.)
We all develop tools – heathy or otherwise – to get us through hard times. When we honor the wisdom of these tools – though they may no longer be serving us – we can begin to explore and embody new, more adaptive ways of being in the world that help us to meet the challenges and opportunities of the present moment. I hope to partner with you in this work.
