I would like to help develop a better relationship with yourself. You can become your best friend. You will find me completely nonjudgmental and accepting. My acceptance of you and your ‘internal frames of reference’, your world view is unconditional!
I’ve been doing psychotherapy and counseling since 2002, having earned a BA in psychology, and a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology. I unceasingly study mental health and wellbeing.
Psychotherapy and counseling are my passion, and all I continue to study everyday, being inspired by the most ancient of Eastern wisdom, and the most modern Western psychology. Other spheres of influence include Brain Science, Mindfulness, Meditations, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Anger Management (which I call Anger Transformation), the Science of Happiness, Positive Psychology and human kind’s Character Strengths and Virtues, including yours…the one’s you have that you may wish to strengthen, and the ones you might wish to cultivate.
Our brain is not always our best friend, for its focus is on the evolutionary processes of survival. Intruders parade into our brains posing as our thoughts. But they are not our thoughts. They are replicating memes and others’ voices … conditionings from society and other places. Our brain hijacks us and takes us where it wants go, causing cognitive distortions and emotional disturbances.
Perhaps the greatest gift you may receive from me, through mindfulness, self-awareness, and other teachings and practices is we can train our minds to go where we want to go (cognitively, emotionally, and relationally), rather than allowing our brains to hijack us, taking us where it wants to go.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering to join me in a therapeutic relationship.
