My name is Katy Morgan and I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and former School Counselor with over 7 years of dedicated service. I specialize in working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families seeking counseling support. I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their feelings, gain insights into behavioral patterns, and develop effective coping strategies.
As a therapist, I collaborate closely with my clients to identify therapy goals and tailor evidence-based techniques to their unique needs. My approach emphasizes personal growth, increased self-awareness, and improved overall well-being. Whether navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or personal struggles, I am committed to helping my clients live more meaningful lives.
I use a combination of evidence-based techniques to support my clients. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), specifically designed for trauma survivors; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which targets distressing memories; and Mindfulness practices. Additionally, I draw from the Gottman Method for couples counseling. I specialize in helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, I’m passionate about spending my free time outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, skiing, or traveling, I love to explore and seek new adventures. I’m also committed to finding opportunities for personal growth in my own life.
