Nancy Mickelson (She, Her) LCSW
Welcome! I’m so glad you found your way to Inspire Adolescent Therapy.
My name is Nancy Mickelson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I am deeply passionate about supporting adolescents and their families through life’s challenges.
My journey into this field is personal. Growing up as the eldest girl in a large family, I often found myself in a caretaking role, experiencing the unique challenges of parentification. I longed for someone who understood adolescence’s complexities and childhood experiences’ impact. This deep understanding fuels my desire to be that person for others.
Since 2002, I’ve dedicated my career to working with adolescents and their families. My experiences in various settings—from school districts and inpatient psychiatric units to outpatient behavioral health programs and private practice—have given me a comprehensive understanding of teens’ diverse needs.
I’m also a mom of three, and I understand firsthand the joys and struggles of parenting during adolescence. My personal and professional experiences have shaped my compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to therapy.
I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you and your teen can explore challenges, build resilience, and discover new possibilities for growth and healing.
Let’s connect and explore how we can work together to empower your teen and strengthen your family.
