My name is Neave, pronounced (Knee Vee), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). My first career was as a stay-at-home mom! Becoming a therapist is my second career! I have over 10 year of experience working with individuals that have a substance use disorder. However, often with substance there is a cooccurring disorder such as trauma, anxiety and depression. I use a variety of modalities that are based upon a strength based and person-centered approach. You are the expert in your life. It’s my job to walk beside you and listen. I am trained in EMDR therapy to help you navigate traumatic memories/experiences. These can be either big or small trauma’s that can benefit from EMDR. Sometimes we don’t even know about a trauma, but something might trigger a response inside of us. My previous experiences in the field range from working in withdrawal management units to working with women in an outpatient setting who were in the justice system. I am coming from a primary care clinic working in an integrative setting side by side with medical providers. I Have many interests in my life from sewing, soaping, refinishing furniture and collecting antiques/vintage glass and spending time with my family.
