I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families wishing to overcome an array of challenges. These include trauma, addictions and co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety/depression, mood disorders, and many other concerns. I hold certifications in Trauma, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have a Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University and a Master of Public Health from Capella University.
Regardless of the identified challenges of any individuals and families I work with, I believe all individuals have the strength to make lasting change in their lives. I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy, with an emphasis on compassion and creating a safe space for the individual. I am an open and affirming provider.
I have an eclectic style, drawing heavily from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Systems theory. I believe strongly in empowerment and tailoring the therapeutic experience to the needs and personality of the individual. I believe in a solution-focused, holistic approach to change.
