My passion and interest in counseling began when I was a collegiate athlete and took notice of the mental health struggles that many athletes encounter. This initial interest transformed into research and knowledge gained on not only athletes, but individuals of all kinds. Now, I hold years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in many different settings such as inpatient, outpatient, and private practice.
I pride myself in being a compassionate and experienced therapist who enjoys working with individuals of all ages. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals through their unique life challenges, I integrate a person-centered approach to create a warm, empathetic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to develop healthier coping strategies and create lasting positive change. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or relationship difficulties, I tailor treatment to the specific needs of each client, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, reading books, and getting some fresh air hiking or walking with my dog!
