I have advanced training and certifications in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Perinatal Mental Health. I graduated from Regis University with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. I am a member of Chi Sigma Iota National Counselors Honor Society, Alpha Phi Women’s Fraternity. I am an active member of the Colorado chapter of Postpartum Support International.I have been working in the mental health field since 2013 and my clinical experiences range from child welfare to long term care and the elderly to the growing workforce and career coaching, and most recently community mental health. I opened my practice in 2019 as a means of bridging the gap for more women and mothers in need of mental health services that were unable to access care in their community. I own a maternal health collective providing mental and physical care to pregnant and postpartum families as well as families experiencing loss.
I specialize in treating postpartum mood disorders, women’s mental health issues, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, new mothers, parenting stress, general life stressors and transitions, aging, and quality of life improvement.
I am most passionate about working with mothers transitioning into parenthood as well as other life transitions. I recently published books on Borderline Personality Disorder as well as Bipolar Disorder.
On a personal note, I believe that laughter is the best medicine, I try to incorporate humor into my therapy practice when appropriate. I am a mother myself and spend my free time with my beautiful family. I was born and raised in Oklahoma but call Colorado home.
