I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) with over 12 years of experience. I am formally trained in EMDR, CBT, and Attachment Theory. In addition, I am an approved juvenile treatment provider and evaluator with the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB). I have extensive experience working within complex environments and with diverse populations. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient care, residential treatment centers, outpatient agencies, and within the criminal justice system. My expertise includes complex trauma, healthy relationships, crisis intervention, and family systems. I tailor my interventions to align with a person’s unique strengths and goals. I appreciate the importance of fostering empowerment and enhancing the potential for meaningful change.
I firmly believe that everyone can overcome challenges with the right tools and support. I strive to make therapy warm, empathic, and positive as possible. I aim to develop therapeutic relationships built on respect, affirmation, and acceptance. Together, we’ll craft a treatment plan tailored to your goals and aspirations. While I won’t dictate your journey, I’m here to guide and support you in achieving the results you desire. I build rapport with clients by incorporating humor and a down-to-earth style. I want clients to feel they can be themselves in sessions and confident to make the space their own. I am always open to client feedback and will adjust sessions to meet their specific needs.
Every individual carries a unique story—one that encompasses their past, present, and future. While we cannot change our past, therapy provides a transformative pathway to reshape our present and future. Starting therapy may feel overwhelming, but it's a courageous step toward positive change. I bring critical thinking, positivity, and strong problem-solving skills to help navigate and overcome challenges. I understand that seeking help can be daunting, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I appreciate reading a good book in my down time with a cat curled up on my lap. I have a background in creative writing and look forward to publishing my own writings in the future. I enjoy music and try to catch live shows whenever possible. I am a passionate football fan and cheer on my favorite team through the good, bad, and ugly. I appreciate humor, from watching a good comedy or attending a comedy show to decompress from the stressors of the world.
