I am a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Colorado, Idaho, and Oregon. I obtained my Master’s degree in social work from Portland State University in 2006. I spent a large portion of my career deeply embedded in healthcare with my most recent experience as a faculty member at the Oregon Health and Science University-Department of Neurology. Counseling was often the highlight of my experience and in 2021, I started private practice full time. I primarily specialize in treating adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, grief and loss, chronic illness, caregiver strain, end of life transitions, and interpersonal relationships.
I am interested in helping those who “feel stuck,” whether that is from current stressors or past traumas. I enjoy helping people find solutions when struggling with boundaries in their relationships. I am committed to a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy and am passionate about empowering people to achieve growth and healing in their own lives.
Sessions will include an exploration of thoughts, feelings, patterns, and experiences that contribute to “feeling stuck.” As a collaborative and strengths-based therapist, I will work to help you develop personalized tools to address goals, recognize strengths, regain a sense of control, create boundaries, and propel you forward with hope and confidence.
Therapeutic Approach: CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, Trauma-informed and Person-centered.
In my free time, you will find me planning my next adventure with my family, my friends, or my ridiculously silly Great Dane. I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, cultural activities, playing chess, or relaxing with a good home cooked meal.
