Janessa is an LCSW who has a background in healthcare, with experience working within Oncology, Palliative Care and Hospice agencies. In addition, she is passionate about helping clients managing symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression during transitional phases in life.
Janessa’s expertise includes managing mental health when facing like chronic illness or changes in health status; end of life; grief processing after loss; survivorship after illness; change in career/retirement; difficulties in interpersonal and/or romantic relationships, and any other changes faced as one moves through life.
When one experiences these types of stressors, it is a common response to feel lost, like our world has fallen apart as we are faced with making sense of it again. The foundation of her practice is built on helping people reach their mental health and healing goals through evidence-based counseling techniques and talk therapy.
Janessa’s counseling practice is intended to help people make peace with difficult thoughts and feelings through supportive counseling.
