Clients reach out to me for many reasons. Sometimes, they’ve had traumatic experiences or a life transition, and they’re trying to figure out how to cope. Maybe they’re noticing increased feelings of sadness, fear, worry, or overwhelm, and it’s impacting their sleep, daily functioning, or relationships. Perhaps, they’re starting to wonder if their use of alcohol or other substances is more helpful or harmful. Other times, parents are concerned about their teens. They notice they’ve been acting out, are more withdrawn, overwhelmed with school and other stressors, or something just seems off, and they want to support them.

My professional experience includes working in primary-care health clinics and schools. My experience in health care settings has taught me just how closely connected our mental, emotional, and physical health are, knowledge that I use to inform my work with clients. My time in a school setting has equipped me to provide a safe and accepting space to help teens through difficult seasons of life as well as work with the family to help everyone feel more supported at home.

I also lived in Guatemala for a few years and speak Spanish. Although it is not my culture, I believe this experience has helped me better support my Latinx clients and their families.

I work with teens (ages 12+), young adults, and adults, providing a safe space to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and clarify your sense of purpose. I am trained in a variety of helpful techniques, including EMDR (for trauma), EFT (helps us understand relationships), and ACT and DBT (identifying values and regulating emotion).

I believe you are incredibly resilient, meaning you are capable of getting through hard things. My goal is to provide a safe space to explore complex emotions, ask tough questions, and practice new skills. Please contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
