Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and has been in the behavioral health field since 2011. She then transitioned into leadership and was a clinical manager of a juvenile justice and intensive adolescent team. Kate enjoyed developing new therapists and growing clinical programs. She also has experience working in crisis services and providing crisis interventions at a walk-in center. Now, Kate works with clients in her private practice with hopes to see lasting change happen.
One area of focus for Kate is maternal mental health. This can include women experiencing depression or anxiety related to pregnancy or the postpartum period, grief from pregnancy loss or infertility, disappointment that motherhood isn’t what was expected and stress or burnout from motherhood. The journey to motherhood and motherhood itself can be isolating and lonely. Kate has advanced training in perinatal mood disorders.
