Kellee (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Kellee works with young children, adults, and families to support them in Accepting, Nurturing, Connecting, Healing, and Optimizing their Relationships (ANCHOR). She is specifically passionate about providing care to trauma survivors. She has 14 years of experience working with children, families, and adults. Kellee is a Circle of Security Parent facilitator, EMDR consultant in training, and certified in Synergetic Play Therapy. Kellee also uses Trauma Play Therapy and Theraplay approaches to support her child and family clients.
Prior to entering private practice, Kellee has experience providing services to adults in domestic violence shelters, families involved with the Department of Human Services using an in-home approach, parents and children impacted by munchausen by proxy disorder, and adults with co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
ANCHOR Counseling Services, founded by Kellee, specializes in working with children 2-8 years of age, and adults 18 and older. ANCHOR uses an attachment lens when working children, adults, and families. All of ANCHOR Counseling’s work is informed by an Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) framework.
When not working, Kellee is navigating being a new mother of her son who was born in December of 2023. Kellee loves the outdoors, trying new food, and hanging out in the Colorado sun at local breweries.
