I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I have been working with adults, teens, and children for over 20 years. I truly believe that all individuals have the ability to discover their own inner strengths and resiliency in the context of a trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship. In my practice, I work in partnership with each client to increase emotional well-being, resiliency, self-confidence and healthy relationships. My treatment approach is grounded in the establishment of trust and connection with my clients, and I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in order to meet the needs of each person.
I have specialized training in treating issues related to anxiety utilizing research-supported Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Exposure Response Prevention, in trauma treatment utilizing EMDR, and in working with teens, children, and parenting issues.
I have been in private practice in Colorado since 2000 and have also provided services for community mental health centers, schools, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to treating survivors of crime including domestic violence and sexual assault.
