Sue has been a clinical social worker for 20+ years, working with individuals, couples and families ages 5-75. She’s well practiced in CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, EMDR, and many other modalities. Teaching at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work helps Sue keep those theoretical skills sharp, but where she really thrives is helping individuals that want to make changes in their lives. Life can be challenging, and every day is a choice; Sue works to help others choose the lives they most want and helps them build up tools to overcome the obstacles along the way. She’s passionate about her work and humans in general. She’s got a light touch when needed and mostly helps people recognize unhealthy patterns that no longer serve them and how to develop new patterns that align with their goals.
Sue shares her home with her partner and 2 dogs, and most of her free time is spent exploring new countries or engaging in fitness and outdoor activities.
