My most important task as a therapist is to help clients recognize their own resiliency and capacity for growth and change. I have 10 years’ experience and specialize in working men who are newcomers to therapy. I also work with LGBTQ+ adolescents (ages 12+) and young adults. My clients are often high achievers who are experiencing anxiety and depression, struggling in interpersonal relationships, and/or want to begin the process of overcoming trauma.
I play an active role in therapy and challenge my clients to closely examine negative patterns in thoughts and behaviors that are holding them back. Sessions will be goal-oriented to ensure you are making the improvements you want to see in your life. In addition to talk therapy, I offer the mind-body modalities EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Art Therapy. Some experiences cannot be adequately described with words, and many clients experience profound relief by working with the body and brain in tandem.
Outside of work I enjoy all things art and design, climbing, yoga, commuting by bike, and tending to my many houseplants. In addition to my career as a therapist I have a background as a yoga instructor and photographer. I am warm, energetic, and deeply invested in my clients’ success. It is an honor to do this work, and I look forward to providing you with a space to heal and grow.
