I have always been curious about human behavior. Why do we do what we do? Growing up I watched my mom struggle with panic and intense anxiety and saw the impact on her, our family, and my own development. I often felt my own fear and anxiety and wondered, “is this what life is?” I felt I had so much potential that I wasn’t accessing. Additionally, having grown up in a funeral home with a funeral director dad (yes, like in the movie My Girl), we often talked about life and death over the years. Two things became evident to me. One, we have a very short amount of time in our lifetimes, and, Two, that a well lived life is embedded in safe, loving relationships and fulfilling shared experiences. It was this mix of life experiences and a drive to understand and heal my wounding that guided me towards becoming a therapist.

I want to support others to discover and access their greatest potential and live a life they love. I want to be with clients as they explore the murky waters of relationships and find their way to safe, loving, enriching connection with others. Ultimately, my hope is to help my clients heal, grow, connect and evolve into the person they want to be and to share their beautiful gifts with the world. I believe in the potential of every person’s ability to improve their life experiences and relationships through a combination of education, exploration, and reflection. My open and direct approach focuses on decreasing intense emotions, deepening relationships, improving communication, and increasing overall wellbeing. With additional training in somatic psychotherapy, I enjoy incorporating a connection to body sensations, meditation, and breathing for a fuller exploration of your experience.

In my free time, I venture into the mountains for hiking and camping with my dog, Chico, as much as possible. I dance socially and enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
