Hello! I’m Carly, a student therapist at ANCHOR Counseling. I was born and raised in Boulder Colorado and am the middle child of four children. For many years I have worked as a Nanny for families of different backgrounds and phases of life. As a student therapist I prioritize creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe to express their emotions. Through play therapy, I help children navigate their feelings and develop healthy coping mechanisms. My approach is grounded in EFT, which emphasizes the importance of emotional bonds and secure relationships.

I bring a fresh perspective and dedicated enthusiasm to my work as a student therapist. I focus on helping children and families through emotionally focused therapy (EFT) techniques and nondirective play therapy. My training in EFT and play therapy allows me to effectively support children and families in building stronger emotional connections. I am committed to continuous learning and applying the latest research to my therapeutic practice.

  • B.A. Psychology, University of Colorado Boulder
  • I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy at Regis University.
