We all have stories – hard and painful ones, breathtaking and joyful ones, and ones that we dream of stepping into. From a young age I have always found deep fulfillment in bearing witness to people’s stories. It is the healing from the scripts that were never ours to take on and the choice to step into the newness of a blank page that drives my work as a trauma therapist.
Many of us feel like we are “stuck in a rut,” collecting some not-so-helpful habits and coping strategies throughout the years like souvenirs from trauma gone by. It’s my goal to help you take inventory of what makes you uniquely you, and help you clear out the emotional clutter that may be holding you back. I prioritize building a trusting relationship to help clients heal in a collaborative, warm environment. I believe that coping strategies and relational patterns develop at an early age. While contexts often change, these patterns are not as likely to, leading some to feel stuck, lost, and disconnected from their needs and intuition. I can help clients disrupt these patterns and develop a stronger connection between their mind and body by utilizing a holistic approach to therapy. I enjoy incorporating play, expressive arts, somatic practices, and mindfulness into my sessions. When working with me, clients can begin to reconnect to their authentic selves and express themselves confidently and consciously.
Outside of the office, you can find me teaching and practicing yoga, hiking, traveling, and exploring local farmer’s markets.
