Deciding to pursue therapy is the most difficult part of the process and choosing a therapist can certainly feel overwhelming. As a social worker I have been working in the behavior health field since 2000. Starting out in Domestic violence shelters then moving on to child protection, health care, eating disorder treatment and finally landing in an EAP serving a school district I have a wide range of experience. Most of my experience is working with clients with depression, anxiety, body image, eating disorders, trauma and grief and loss. I use a lot of solution focused techniques and will often give clients homework between sessions. I am trained in EMDR and would be happy to discuss this as a therapeutic option with you.
