I am a licensed Clinical Social worker with over 10 years working with women, children, and families. I am passionate about creating an empowering space that allows you to discover your own strength and resiliency in the face of struggle. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, where two experts come together to share knowledge and work to gain new insights and skills. I draw from a variety of approaches depending upon your unique situation and preferences, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and mindfulness strategies to achieve your self-identified goals.
As a former supervisor of direct service teams and interns, I am also passionate about supporting helping professionals (i.e. mental health, human services, and medical providers) navigate the impacts of secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout in their lives. Left unacknowledged or unaddressed, these things will prevent someone from being the professional they know they can be. Working from a neurobiological understanding of trauma, we would explore how your helping work is impacting you, identify skills or strategies to manage the stress, and create a plan that honors your needs in order for you to continue to share your gifts with others in a sustainable way.
I am currently not credentialed with insurance in WA, so only able to accept self pay for those clients at this time.
