Maggie is a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Fireside Therapy. She is especially passionate about working with deeply feeling, twice-exceptional, and neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults. Over the last seven years, Maggie has worked with individuals of all ages who experience anxiety, depression, and trauma. Prior to founding Fireside Therapy, Maggie worked in community mental health, as a school-based therapist, and then for five years at a therapy group practice in Westminster.
Maggie could be a good fit for you if you are looking to increase feelings of connection and belonging, improve self-esteem and sense of self, and increase emotional regulation. She is an attachment-focused, expressive arts therapist who works with kids (ages three and up), teens, and adults. Some of the approaches that she incorporates are play therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, and art-based interventions. She also brings in elements of DBT, narrative therapy, and parts-work. She is passionate about fostering a cozy therapeutic environment where clients can increase their sense of safety.
When not working, Maggie is likely to be reading, drinking coffee, spending time in nature, trying to learn pottery, or spending time with her dog (Carson) and cat (Thomas).
