For me, the counseling process is about cultivating inner spacious for our messiness and our brilliance to co-exist. This means developing friendliness towards ourselves, our protector parts, and our wounds.
In session, we will collaboratively identify a focus for the session, perhaps a current stressor or ongoing theme. From there we may develop coping supports, tend to relational or childhood wounds, befriend protectors, or process trauma activation. At the end of session, we will take time to digest new insights, beliefs, or discoveries. Throughout my work, I center influences systemic and historic oppression while gleaning cultural wisdom to cultivate wellbeing.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in community mental health agencies and suicide and crisis intervention settings. The bulk of my clinical experience has been serving BIPOC, immigrant, LGBTQ, and neurodivergent communities. I am passionate about working with adults and adolescents dealing with grief, truam, and relational wounding. I provide telehealth and in-person services, including Walk-and-Talk Therapy. On the personal side, I enjoy plant parenting, knitting, reading, backpacking, meditating, and hanging out with family and friends.
