Meet Misty Peery, MSW, LCSW, CCTP

Healing isn't a straight line — and you don't have to walk it alone.

I'm Misty Peery, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a deep commitment to helping individuals find their way through pain, trauma, and the weight of experiences that can feel impossible to carry. My work is rooted in relationship — in showing up with genuine presence, clinical expertise, and an unwavering belief in your capacity to heal.

My Approach

I specialize in trauma therapy, drawing from an integrative, body-informed framework that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. My work incorporates somatic and body-based processing, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, yoga and movement, AccuWellness, and alternative and integrative medicine approaches — alongside evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Jungian and depth-oriented therapy, and strengths-based, client-centered care. Every treatment plan is tailored to you — your nervous system, your story, your pace.

Additionally, I am trained as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Practitioner and work from a harm reduction lens to support individuals who are curious about, currently using, or integrating psychedelic experiences. I offer integration therapy for those seeking clinical support to process and make meaning of psychedelic experiences safely, thoughtfully, and at their own pace — without judgment. I am also trained as an Equine-Assisted Learning Practitioner and bring a background in nature-based and experiential approaches to healing.

Who I Work With

I have the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, including:

Adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating the pressures, transitions, and emotional weight of growing up in today's world
Adults working through anxiety, stress, depression, and the ordinary-yet-heavy challenges of everyday life
Trauma survivors navigating complex PTSD, childhood trauma, and adverse life experiences
Active duty military, veterans, and their families facing the unique pressures of service, deployment, and life after service
First responders — police, fire, and emergency personnel — managing the cumulative toll of the work they do every day
Front-line workers and helping professionals — social workers, nurses, and physicians experiencing vicarious trauma, secondary traumatic stress, and burnout
Individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis, and the families and caregivers carrying the grief, stress, and trauma that serious illness brings
Caregivers experiencing the often-invisible weight of caregiver burnout, compassion fatigue, and grief

A Space Where You Belong

I believe that effective therapy begins with safety — and safety requires more than clinical skill. I am deeply committed to providing an inclusive, affirming space for every person who walks through my door. My practice is grounded in a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion framework, and I bring an ongoing commitment to anti-racist practice, LGBTQ+ allyship, and Nonviolent Communication to everything I do — not as checkboxes, but as living values I actively cultivate and hold myself accountable to. You deserve a therapist who sees you fully, honors your identity, and meets you with dignity and respect.

About Integrated Life Therapy

I founded Integrated Life Therapy because I believe healing should be as whole as the people seeking it — body, mind, and spirit. Whether you are in crisis, in recovery, processing the weight of your history, or simply ready to do deep work, I am honored to walk alongside you.
