Welcome!
If you’re struggling with intense emotions keeping you from expressing your best self, you’ve found the right place! I help people understand their mental health so that they can improve their life. Some key areas that I work well in are: high levels of anxiety, panic attacks, health anxiety, trauma (especially trauma caused by other people), depression, insomnia, and physical issues that impact mental health.
If you are looking for a nonjudgmental therapist and struggling with the following challenges, let's talk!
- Panic attacks, Health anxiety, and other forms of anxiety that take you out of the present.
- Trauma that is negatively impacting your day-to-day life. Especially if the trauma is complicated or started with something another person did to you.
- Burnout, frustration, and irritability that are stealing your joy.
- You have co-occurring medical issues that are negatively impacting your mental health. This can include things like chronic pain, a chronic illness, or a new scary diagnosis.
- You are trying to balance being true to yourself while making sense of the complexities of multiple cultural identities.
Typical Response Time: I usually respond to emails, messages, and voicemails within 1 – 2 work days (Monday through Thursday).
How I approach therapy
My therapeutic style is warm, caring, realistic, and has more than a touch of humor. Therapy is a collaborative journey. We will combine your expertise in your life experiences with my expertise in mental health and wellbeing. I start with a person-centered approach so that you can feel safe, valued, and validated while sharing your personal experiences and struggles. I also use trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused approaches, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
If you're ready to embark on this journey of self-discovery and healing, I'm here to walk alongside you. Let's find your best way forward together.
Reach out to me by phone or message if you would like to find a time to connect.

Experience highlights
I have been a licensed mental health counselor for over a decade. During that time, I have pursued training and gained experience supporting people seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, interpersonal violence, child abuse, mood disorders, and medical issues that impact mental health.
Cultural identities
I am the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants. I identify as she/her. I am also Canadian-American. As you can imagine, this all impacts how I see the world and the weird questions I ask people about people their own cultural identities. It also makes it easier to be just another person on this weird journey of life, because we all have different things that make us uniquely who we are!
For fun
I love the arts. They give me a window into other cultures and backgrounds in a way that words can't always express. I enjoy laughing and sometimes use my sense of humor to find the silliness in a bad day. I'm also a great fan of being outside. I believe in the healing and rejuvenating powers of the outdoors, green spaces, and water.
