Hello there!
I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC). I earned my Master’s Degree in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Counseling from Mount Mary University. My core values stem from the philosophy that the creative process can develop a deeper understanding of self, aiding in connection, healing and transformation. I have years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families, joining with people to provide integrative and effective care, being mindful of keeping you at the center of treatment. My approach to the therapeutic process is to foster a warm, inviting and non-judgmental therapeutic space rooted in authenticity, compassion and creativity.
I specialize in complex trauma, neurodiversity, & support in the challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces in our world. I am fully trained in Art Therapy, EMDR, Trauma, Inclusive Care Provider & Neurodiversity.
I enjoy collaborating with people, utilizing a person-centered, relational-cultural, and feminist lens with a holistic approach. I guide people through the art therapy process to aid in healing and personal growth. Art therapy provides a safe place to express tough feelings, thoughts and emotions through the language of art-making, when verbal processing can be challenging. No prior experience with art-making is necessary as I will promote a safe and contained space for your creativity and exploration. I am also experienced in utilizing mindfulness, meditation and somatic strategies to benefit the mind-body connection.
My goal is to honor your process and guide you in healing, using creative and beneficial methods so you can live the life you want to.
