My goal is to help you maximize joy and fulfillment in your life. You may find yourself feeling stuck in old habits and unsure of how to effect change, overwhelmed by anxious thoughts, or struggling to communicate and connect in your relationships. Together we can work to bring awareness to the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, to explore and befriend the parts of yourself that carry hurt or fear, and to figure out new ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, and the world. I view all emotions as information about ourselves, and I work with clients to help them better understand and accept their emotions and use them to live fully and authentically.
I received my M.S.W. from Hunter University in New York, where I also completed a year-long post-graduate training through the Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the William Alanson White Institute. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1), Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (gold standard treatment for OCD), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These therapeutic approaches focus on examining and shifting your relationship to unhelpful thinking patterns, getting to know all parts of you and healing the burdens they may carry, clarifying values and leading a values-driven life, and developing insight into the ways in which past experiences and relationships impact the present. I primarily work with clients who are looking to manage anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship challenges, perfectionism, or challenging life transitions.
I strive to create a supportive and judgement-free environment in which you can be free to be your authentic self. I will also challenge you to look at things differently and try new skills outside of session. I offer in person sessions in Jefferson Park, Denver on Mondays and otherwise provide virtual sessions. I look forward to working together to help you reach your goals and encourage you to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
