Hi, I’m Cecilia Kim (she/her), a Korean American licensed therapist and the founder of Honest Ground Therapy—a space rooted in deep presence, cultural wisdom and real healing.
My work is guided by the Korean concept of nunchi (눈치)—the subtle art of emotional attunement and relational awareness. Nunchi isn’t just a cultural value for me; it’s a way of being. It shapes how I listen, how I hold space and how I honor each client’s unspoken truth.
At Honest Ground Therapy, you won’t find surface level advice or forced positivity. This is a space where you can be fully seen in your complexity—where nuance, depth and transformation are honored. Whether we’re unpacking intergenerational trauma, navigating life’s challenges or reclaiming your voice after emotional harm, my approach is compassionate, direct and culturally responsive.
I specialize in working with adult women and femmes navigating trauma, anxiety and depression. I particularly enjoy supporting women of color, neurodivergent folks, & LGBTQ+. I draw from EMDR, IFS, DBT and somatic practices to help you reconnect with yourself and make grounded, lasting shifts—not just symptom relief.
My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to help you feel safe enough to be honest, strong enough to set boundaries and clear enough to live with intention.
