Hello, I’m Missy, a down-to-earth and compassionate therapist with a passion for helping adults navigate life’s challenges. I come to therapy with broad life experience workings in crisis centers and educational settings and a warm, approachable style that makes therapy feel like a natural and empowering experience.
I specialize in helping clients overcome anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, grief, OCD, parenting challenges, and life transitions. My approach is humanistic integrative, drawing on evidence-based practices like acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), exposure and response prevention for OCD, and EMDR. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs.
I am a certified trauma professional (CTP) and understand how trauma impacts the way people function in the present. I also understand the importance of humor and lightness in therapy and incorporate laughter into the process when it helps clients feel more at ease. My down-to-earth approach means I strive to make our sessions feel comfortable without judgment or pretension. I’d be honored to be a part of your healing.
