Hello! My name is Madelyn and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) offering online individual therapy to adolescents (age 12+), emerging adults, and adults of all ages. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for five years as a medical social worker at Children's Hospital Colorado in a primary care clinic for children with complex medical and developmental needs. This role gave me deep insight into how stress, grief, identity shifts, and family dynamics intersect with everyday life—especially in the face of long-term caregiving. I had the privilege of supporting families from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances, which continues to shape the way I approach therapy: with cultural humility and respect for lived experience.
In my practice, I support caregivers and siblings of individuals with special healthcare needs, individuals living with chronic pain, and clients navigating relationship issues, family conflict, life transitions, role changes/identity shifts, burn out, depression, anxiety, and past trauma. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in self-compassion. I help clients untangle complex emotions, develop coping tools, and build a more balanced and fulfilling life aligned with their values. Together, we can process what feels heavy, help you feel more grounded, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater confidence.
I primarily draw from Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and elements of Mindfulness. Regardless of the modality, I always prioritize your emotional safety and comfort. I view the therapeutic space as sacred, and I believe the relationship we build is central to the work we do.
