I received a B.S. in Psychology at Towson University. There, I was accepted into the Clinical Psychology track where I had my first internship at a residential school for children. I attended Villanova University for Graduate School and obtained my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my clinical hours at a behavioral school for children and a community mental health clinic, where I treated people of all ages and diagnoses. After I graduated, I worked at an agency and then a group practice treating children, adults and couples. I now have my own private practice and believe that my diverse clinical experiences, where I have gained different perspectives and skills, have shaped me into the competent and versatile therapist I am today.
I believe therapy works best when approached collaboratively. You are the expert in your life and I am here to guide you on your path. I create a treatment plan that is tailored towards your needs and use modalities accordingly. I work with individuals (ages 7 and older) and couples with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, body image, relationship struggles and more. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Play Therapy for individuals and pull from the Gottman Method for couples therapy. I create a safe, nonjudgmental, empathetic environment that encourages my clients to be their authentic selves in session. I believe that all people are inherently resilient and with the right tools can use their strengths to overcome obstacles and live a more fulfilling life.
