I’m a licensed psychologist providing telehealth video-psychotherapy for adults across Colorado. My practice focuses on anxiety, chronic worry and rumination, OCD and intrusive thoughts, depression and mood disorders, trauma, and longstanding emotional, behavioral and relational patterns that interfere with living life fully. I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, ERP, DBT, MBCT) with depth-oriented psychodynamic and process-based therapy to support meaningful, lasting change.
I work with adults seeking relief from painful emotions, distressing thoughts, and patterns of behavior that interfere with daily life, work, and relationships. In an empathic and collaborative therapeutic relationship, we work together to better understand the enduring emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and relational patterns that may be contributing to these difficulties, so that therapy can support not only relief, but deeper and more lasting change.
As a psychotherapist, I provide a safe, supportive, actively-engaged therapy relationship so we can work together to understand your difficulties and how best to resolve them. I have chosen to train in a range of therapeutic methods to help clients understand what they need to do to create change in their lives, to improve health and functioning, and to pursue what is valued most in life. These methods include longer term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, while also more skill-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposute and Response Prevention, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I have been licensed as a clinical psychologist in Colorado since 1991. I received the Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) from Wright State University, School of Professional Psychology in 1988. I worked as a staff psychologist at Kaiser Permanente for 28 years from 1991 to 2019. I now see clients in my private practice. I am currently enrolled in the Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at Columbia University and accepting clients for long term psychodynamic psychotherapy.
