Whatever weight you are carrying in this particular stretch of your life, I am here to help hold it. Together, we can create space for it and untangle it. You have so many strengths already and I want to help you build from that, get you back on track. I am here to offer a different viewpoint and techniques that I have found work well for not only for my patients, but also for myself in my own life journey.
Most of us try to think our way out of pain and find that we don’t make forward movement. I support my patients in making room for and regulating the emotion so that it loosens its grip, moving through it and not around it.
I have developed a style personal to me, using a combination of my favorite theoretical models. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) are two that I especially enjoy. I begin sessions with mindfulness and also incorporate education around neuropsychology so that you can work WITH your brain instead of against it.
