My name is Jesse and I am so glad you’re here checking out my profile. Lets face it, finding a counselor can be a strange process. Sometimes it feels like pulling a name out of a hat. What I have found to be quite helpful in this process is getting to know the person on a more personal level so that is exactly what this page is all about. I hope it makes you feel a bit more connected to another human and not just another website and name.
I am 34, my pronouns are he/him, I’ve been married to the love of my life for 10 (!!!) amazing years, we have a 5 year old, two dogs, 8 chickens, and an amazing urban farm that we grow all sorts of amazing food. My wife is an artist, podcast producer, and creative coach. As you might imagine, we sometimes have a hard time turning “work” off but what I love about our dynamic is we are constantly in the space and conversation of growth, development, challenges, and of course feelings & emotions.
If you ask me what I do, the first thing I’d probably say is I am a proud father, husband, and urban farmer. Of course, I see counselor as part of my identity too but I don’t really like to silo off any one part of who I am vs. what I do for a living.
I primarily specialize in mindfulness and developing a process where you can attune to your own inner world of emotions, which I refer to as parts. I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and I also offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I also draw from attachment theory, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Jungian techniques with both individuals and couples. Typically I work with individuals for about a year and couples for about six months but this is just a general guideline and I have many clients who I've seen much longer and shorter. I also utilize Trauma-Informed Care and Person-Centered approaches. My theoretical orientation is modeled on a humanistic perspective blended between Buddhism, attachment theory, and Jungian.
