I grew up in a world feeling big feelings that did not get names or recognition for almost two decades. I was highly functional and high achieving while only paying attention to the little unnoticed cues of other people, but never my own. All the while pursing a career in a helping profession but not knowing exactly what or where to go. I reached a breaking point and was forced to face all those big feelings and therapy helped me do just that. I learned about the field of social work and realized this was my path to working with others to make them feel seen. Now it is my turn to help others sort through whatever it is they may be facing in life.
My approach to therapy is pretty straightforward. You are the expert in your own life and the matter that brought you to seek therapy in the first place. It is my job to use my experience and training to help you determine the best possible path forward for you. I am a very strengths-based and solution-focused therapist meaning I want to help you discover the strengths and positives you already have in your life that we can pull from to help create change in your desired direction.
In my free time I love tapping into my inner child and being outside and doing arts and crafts as much as possible. I also enjoy spending time with my cat Popcorn!
