“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.” — Brené Brown
That sentiment reflects the heart of Lacy’s therapeutic approach: helping clients explore difficult experiences with compassion while uncovering the strength, resilience, and clarity that already exist within them. She understands how much courage it takes to be vulnerable, ask for support, and begin the process of change. Her goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, safe, and empowered to grow into the most authentic version of yourself.
Lacy’s practice is relational, person-centered, and deeply collaborative. She believes therapy should feel intentional, practical, and meaningful to your everyday life — not just something that happens within the therapy room. Using an integrative and evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals, she blends insight-oriented and nervous system-based therapies with practical, tool-based interventions to support lasting and meaningful change.
Her work incorporates Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and somatic approaches. Together, you will work to increase nervous system capacity, strengthen self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Lacy is especially passionate about Brainspotting as a powerful tool for deeper healing and nervous system regulation. Brainspotting can help access and process experiences that may feel difficult to fully reach through traditional talk therapy alone, particularly when clients feel stuck in recurring emotional patterns, anxiety, trauma responses, perfectionism, or relational wounds despite years of insight and self-awareness. By working with both the brain and body, Brainspotting allows clients to process experiences at a deeper neurological and emotional level, often creating meaningful shifts where other therapy modalities may have felt limited or incomplete. Lacy integrates Brainspotting in a grounded, collaborative, and client-centered way to help clients move beyond survival patterns and toward greater peace, clarity, connection, and emotional freedom.
Lacy is especially passionate about supporting young adults and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, attachment wounds, relational difficulties, burnout, overwhelm, those who feel stuck and those who have been through traumatic experiences. She understands how easy it can be to become disconnected from yourself while trying to meet expectations, keep everything together, or maintain relationships at the expense of your own needs. Many of her clients struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, fear of failure, difficulty trusting themselves, or patterns rooted in past relational experiences.
Through a compassionate and insight-oriented approach, Lacy helps clients better understand the origins of these patterns while building healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Her work focuses heavily on relational healing — helping clients develop more secure attachment patterns, stronger boundaries, deeper self-worth, emotional resilience, and more fulfilling connections. She supports clients in moving from survival mode into a life that feels more grounded, authentic, connected, and aligned with their values.
With experience across the mental health, medical, educational, and adoption fields — working with individuals from childhood through end of life — Lacy brings a broad and compassionate understanding of the human experience. She especially enjoys working with emerging adults, working professionals, college students, therapists, and individuals in helping professions who are balancing high expectations while trying to care for themselves well.
Clients often describe Lacy as warm, authentic, optimistic, and relatable. She believes healing does not have to happen through shame or perfectionism, but through self-compassion, honest reflection, connection, and small courageous steps forward. Her strength-based and holistic approach honors every part of your story while helping you reconnect with your inner strengths, values, and goals.
Above all, Lacy’s hope is not only that you heal from what has hurt you, but that you build a life that feels whole, peaceful, connected, and deeply aligned with who you truly are.
