I’m Julia, a licensed somatic and mindfulness based therapist in Boulder, CO. My passion is guiding clients towards their unique sense of aliveness. I specialize in supporting people with a range of issues in mindfulness and somatic based psychotherapy.
Have you been feeling lost, confused or lonely? Reached a point in your life you thought was your goal, and yet you aren’t feeling satisfied or grounded? That moment can feel strange, frightening and it might seem there’s no way through. I’m here to say – healing is possible. Moving towards a life that feels more satisfying and enlivening is your birth right, and therapy can be an essential support on this journey. Healing is hard work and so worth it. Uncovering old patterns and limiting beliefs, and bringing in new experiences takes time, patience and dedication. I’m passionate about guiding my clients through their dark places and to the other side, towards a fulfilled life with increased clarity, meaning and play.
I graduated from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While health looks different for each person, having a caring and supportive therapist to assist is often a key ingredient. In my practice I bring non-judgement, compassion and humor to each session. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice, I support adults and couples looking to understand themselves more deeply and live with vibrancy. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where we both work together to support your healing journey well. I skillfully weave my experience with meditation, mindfulness, communication and relationship strategies, parts work and Hakomi psychotherapy to serve your needs in therapy.
