All people are trying their best to survive and cope with the pain that life brings. That sentiment is the basis of my therapeutic practice: acknowledging that circumstances can prompt people to cope in ways that don’t support their goals. As a therapist, I want to empower you to break patterns of negative thoughts, urges, and behaviors so you can let go of what is not serving you anymore.
I am experienced in working with eating disorders (including Anorexia, ARFID, Bulimia, and BED), depression and anxiety, OCD, trauma, and difficulties with emotion regulation and suicidality. I especially enjoy focusing on the intersection of disordered eating, neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA+ identities.
I believe in the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship that is both compassionate and direct; I will hold you accountable for growth while acknowledging your unique strengths and challenges. A pillar of my work is behavioral therapy using DBT and Radically Open DBT. I also incorporate CBT, ACT, ERP, and CPT for PTSD. My approach is person-centered and adapted to meet you where you are at. I look forward to learning where that is.
