My credentials include a Bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Studies from The University of Utah, & a Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver. My niche includes helping children + youth with trauma (medical, parental substance use, abuse, neglect, attachment ruptures) & grief. I’ve spent over a decade working & serving in diverse spaces with adolescents & have loved every minute of it!
My therapeutic lens recognizes the importance of the individual, the therapeutic relationship, attachment, neuroscience, involving & supporting caregivers / family systems, play & expressive therapy, & capitalizing on the mind-body connection. Interventions I use often include aspects of Synergetic Play Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Art/Expressive/Sand tray therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, & psychoeducation.
I fill my cup out of session by dabbling in all sorts of outdoor activities, hanging with my elderly dogs, reading, & local outings. But most of all laughing & making memories with the people that I love!
