I am a therapist who has been working with adolescents and families over the course of the last 20 years. This started when I earned my BA in Psychology at MSU. At that time, my goal was to work with teens and change the world - starting in a residential facility. After four years, I realized that I was destined to be a therapist and attended Chapman University to earn my Masters in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling.

During my educational years, I continued to work in different residential settings and then began working in outpatient settings. I specialize in working with families who have interpersonal conflict and trauma as well as teens who struggle with their emotions, behavioral controls, and trauma. This has included extensive work with families of youth who struggle with ADHD, impulse control, boundary issues, and both victims and perpetrators of violence and sexual abuse, who may be involved with the criminal justice system. Over the years I have made my mission to eliciting more supports to prevent youth from entering these pathways.

My approach to therapy is highly individualized. I like to partner with my clients when developing treatment goals to ensure that there is an investment in those goals. My style is very relaxed and I meet clients where they are at, frequently using humor. I am open to feedback and making adjustments along the way to ensure success. My office is an adolescent friendly environment with my massive car collection and fidgets, but is still cozy enough for adults to relax and feel comfortable.

I grew up in and continue to live in a diverse community because I enjoy the benefits of connecting with people of various backgrounds. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and two crazy dogs. Some of my interests include horror movies, going to concerts, and talking about cars and my favorite football team. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I decorate my yard on that holiday as opposed to Christmas.
