Eliza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Addiction Counselor Candidate (ADDC) based in Colorado, dedicated to walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strengths. In addition to her clinical training, Eliza’s extensive background in outdoor and experiential education—and her lifelong passion for exploration—deeply inform her therapeutic practice. She offers a holistic and compassionate approach, viewing adventure not only in the mountains, rivers, and wild spaces of nature but also in the courageous journey of healing and self-discovery. Eliza supports clients in connecting with their intuitive nature, tapping into resilience and wisdom to foster personal growth and healing.
Eliza works with clients who are facing grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, life transitions, identity exploration, and the unique challenges that can arise from outdoor- or nature-based trauma and loss. Her therapeutic style incorporates experiential and body-based techniques, drawing from somatic therapy, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, inner child work, psychodrama, mindfulness, and nature-based approaches. Eliza approaches healing as a bold and meaningful exploration, one that can include joy, laughter, and insight, even during life’s most challenging times. Warm, creative, and approachable, Eliza is passionate about empowering her clients to embrace growth, resilience, and authentic self-discovery.
Originally from New York City, Eliza has called Colorado home for over fifteen years and currently lives in Gunnison with her partner and their sweet pup Magnolia. She brings warmth, creativity, and humor to her practice and is passionate about empowering clients to move forward with confidence and hope.
