Hello and welcome to my page!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a PhD in experiential therapy (my dissertation was in wilderness interventions focused on empathy building).
I have been in practice since 2012 with an original emphasis on trauma informed care adolescent psychotherapy. I currently work with adolescents through adults ages 13+.
I'm trained in a variety of modalities included Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Virtual Eye Movement Desensitization Processing (EMDR), and Mental Health Nutritional Education (MHNE). I also have non-certification training in Personality Disorders, particularly the Cluster B subset.
Philosophically, I have found that an interactive dialogue that includes creative outlets, music, media, and psychoeducation is the best approach to help my clients' feel safe and productive in our sessions.
