Hello! My name is Aaron Leo (he/him). I grew up in New England and lived there until I finished my undergraduate degree in Literature at Harvard. After college, I lived in South Africa, the Philadelphia area, and Washington DC. However, after moving to Colorado in 2016 to do my Masters in Clinical Mental Health at Denver Seminary, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to leave!
Having the beautiful Rocky Mountains in our backyard is such a privilege! Before entering the mental health field, I had a long career in finance, and I still enjoy dabbling in investment work for fun. I have two daughters that I adore, and they keep me on my toes too. In my free time, I love being outside doing just about anything, reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
Professionally, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC.0018780). I did my Masters in Clinical Mental Health at Denver Seminary and I have a BA from Harvard University. I have experience with clients in every stage of life. I utilize techniques from many modalities including CBT, ACT, Family Systems, EMDR, and play therapy.
