Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in working with people with disordered eating (binge eating, compulsive dieting and exercise, restriction and bulimia) as well as anxiety.
My approach is to bring compassion and acceptance to all parts of your struggle so as to increase awareness, insight and willingness to change. In our sessions you and I will build a safe place together that provides the foundation for exploring your goals and dreams.
I want to help you to understand the eating disorder or anxiety’s role so that we can help you to integrate ways of coping that better serve you. As a therapist I appreciate the strength it takes for clients to show their vulnerability and I love being able to help clients find their way towards growth.
I believe we all have a force in us that aids in psychological healing. My job is to create a space for you that will enable that light to shine on both your resilience and those difficult memories or emotions. We can work through this challenging time together.
In my years as a psychotherapist, I have developed an understanding and compassion for the process of change. I am trained in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR and incorporate all into my practice of experiential and somatic therapy. I have specialized in eating disorders for over 20 years.
