Hi, I’m Meghan (she/her)! I’m originally from a small town in South Carolina, and I now live in Colorado with my wife and our two boys. When not counseling, you’ll find me writing, working on my golf game, cooking, advocating for causes I care about, or anywhere near water with my family.
My primary focus is on trauma and grief. Clients bring the expertise of their own lives, and my role is to be a guide along the way. I focus on developing a strong, collaborative relationship so we can work toward the growth that matters most to each client.
I want clients to understand that while past experiences may shape who a person is, healing, regulation, and a fulfilling life are absolutely possible. I believe in the power of psychoeducation: clients understanding how they respond to trauma and stress is often the first step in moving toward healing. I recognize the connection between chronic pain, nervous system dysregulation, and how they are linked to trauma and stress. I value humor, intentional pacing, and balance in therapy, knowing when it is time to do deeper work and when it is just as important to make room for lightness.
My approach is integrative: grounded in humanistic principles, informed by neuroscience and the mind-body connection. I incorporate somatic and nervous system practices to help clients move from dysregulation and pain toward safety and self-trust. I honor each client’s autonomy and lived experiences while supporting their personal growth goals. As the therapeutic relationship grows, my hope is that clients feel empowered in their own healing journey.
Professionally: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado (LPC.0023470). I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and my Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Columbia Southern University.
