I am a child therapist who specializes in helping children ages 5 to 13 heal from trauma, work through grief & loss, and improve anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. I am a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, and am trained in EMDR and other approaches tailored to children’s needs.
I have always found kids to be amazing and brilliant. And I also vividly remember the experience of being a child, having big feelings, and not knowing what to do with those feelings or how to be kind to myself when experiencing challenges. It has been transformative for me to have unconditional, judgment-free spaces where I could express myself and my feelings and figure out who I am and who I am becoming. I love having the opportunity to meet children at their developmental level and provide them with that sort of space, where I can help them learn how to move through their experiences and express themselves, whether that is through play, stories, art or words.
As a mom myself, I also know that the journey of parenting comes with its own unique joys and challenges. Caregivers are the most important people in a child’s life, and I am also here to support you as you support your child.
I practice within the model of Synergetic Play Therapy, a researched-informed model of play therapy blending the therapeutic power of play with nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, physics, attachment, mindfulness, and therapist authenticity. I was trained in this model over the course of a year and became certified.
