Hi, I’m Jennifer Jennings, LCSW, LAC.
As a military veteran and licensed therapist, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my work. I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma and PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, life transitions, addictions, grief and loss, sexual abuse, relationship challenges, anger, co-occurring disorders, and gender-related issues. I also have a deep understanding of the unique needs of military service members and veterans.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where healing can happen. My goal is to help you feel empowered and understood as we work together to create meaningful change.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs and goals, ensuring that therapy is both practical and personal.
As a strengths-based therapist, I focus on what’s working in your life and help you build on those strengths. This approach promotes self-determination, resilience, and long-term growth. I also integrate mindfulness into my work, guiding clients to develop greater awareness of their physical, emotional, and mental experiences in the present moment—without judgment. Mindfulness can be a powerful tool in managing stress, regulating emotions, and increasing overall well-being.
Therapy is a courageous step, and I’m honored to walk alongside you. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
