Addressing life changes and adversities can be overwhelming, stressful and isolating. It takes a lot of courage to overcome your obstacles, but doing it alone may not be enough. Pursing psychotherapy is the first step to elicit change in your life. My goal is to provide an empathic, safe, and understanding environment to help clients work through their difficulties together. The goal is to figure out what rings true to you, that has not always been evident. By working together, we can help you find greater joy, freedom and satisfaction in life may it be with a life transition, grief, addiction or support around a relationship.
Psychotherapy can help develop a different understanding of your perceptions by making new discoveries and developing new insights. With over 20 years of mental health experience, I utilize psychodynamic theories to influence my practice as well as CBT and DBT to help clients develop skills and tools to help manage their thoughts and feelings.
I believe that building a strong connection is the most important thing in beginning to help you. It is important that you feel safe, understood and valued. I offer compassion, creative thinking and humor to help clients work towards their goals and to find the freedom you may be seeking.
